Role: Solo developer  •  Course: PHYS 2300 Scientific Computing (Spring 2021)

  • Simulated vertical ascent with gravity, thrust, and drag; adjustable planetary body parameters.
  • Implemented UI controls and live plotting of key telemetry vs. time.

  • Automated repetitive conversions to meet strict input requirements for simulation tooling.
  • Reduced manual calculation/entry errors and iteration time during modeling runs.
  • Designed for quick “paste in / paste out” usage during research.

Habitable Exoplanet Summer Research

Role: Research + scripting  •  Funding: Jim S. Bateman Undergraduate Research Award
  • NASA Exoplanet Archive
  • Simulation workflows

  • Ran simulation campaigns on potentially habitable exoplanets and tracked model inputs/outputs.
  • Wrote supporting scripts to streamline data preparation and analysis tasks.
  • Developed tooling (including the converter) to support reproducible iteration.

Recommendation: add a “Methods / Data / Results” one-pager and link the grant + any poster/paper PDF.

Role: Automation / analysis  •  Context: telescope operations + photometry workflows

  • Processed large spreadsheet-style photometry outputs into cleaner, plot-ready datasets.
  • Generated configurable plots to reduce manual Excel overhead and speed iteration.
  • Designed around “operator time savings” and repeatability.

Add one screenshot of “before/after” outputs and a sample plot to make the value obvious.
